Professional Summary
I am currently an Assistant Professor working in the Undergrad, RN- BSN, and the Accelerated Program at the University of Cincinnati. My nursing career began in the 1990’s with an associate degree in N.C. I went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati’s RN- BSN program in 2011, later receiving an MSN with CNS certification in Adult-Gerontology and Education in 2014. Just recently, I received my DNP in the Post master’s Program. Throughout my career, I have specialized in caring for our older, frail patients, persons with dementia, delirium, and depression. I have been active in unit-based councils, committees, and a specialty team, representing the older adult through poster, workshop, and podium presentations. I actively participated in the Nurses Improving Care for the Hospitalized Elders (NICHE) program and am currently a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Ohio League for Nurses, and the National Association of Certified Nurse Specialists.
