Sara Elizabeth Gusler
Sara Gusler is a doctoral candidate in Educational Studies with a concentration in Developmental and Learning Sciences. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University and her Master of Education in Literacy and Second Language Studies from the University of Cincinnati. She was an educator for seven years and spent the bulk of her career teaching in rural and urban Head Start preschool programs. She currently holds graduate assistantship positions with the Early Childhood Education and Human Development & Community Engagement programs where she is teaching undergraduate courses. She is under the advisement of Dr. Victoria Carr. Sara's research has involved preschoolers' usage of multilingual texts, the literacy learning that occurs in young children's nature play environments, and the home literacy environment.
