Ryan Robert Ludwig

Ryan Ludwig is an NCARB certified registered Architect in the State of NY maintaining a small independent design + research studio (AoP) focused on inclusive and adaptable approaches towards architectural design. He has taught previously at SUNY Buffalo, Syracuse University and Cornell University, and has been an invited speaker and final review critic at numerous other institutions including: Yale, University of Toronto, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Tulane, Auburn, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Ball State, UNC Charlotte, NYIT, Lawrence Tech and the Boston Architectural College. His current research speculates on how buildings create Human-Environment interconnections capable of inducing physiological effects and adaptive responses within inhabitants.
Prior to teaching Ludwig has worked for the offices Cannon Design, SPAN Architecture, MOS and Blaze Makoid Architecture, for such diverse clients as: MoMA PS1, Southampton Hospital Ian Schrager, Johnson Trading Gallery, Bridgeport Hospital, Dynamic Air Shelters and the Denver Parks Department. Ludwig holds a professional Bachelor’s degree from Cornell, AA&P (BArch ‘04) and a post-professional Master’s degree from the Harvard GSD (MArch II ’09).
