Professional Summary
Hi! My name is Poppy Theocharidou and I am a doctoral candidate at the University of Cincinnati, School of Criminal Justice. I am currently wrapping up my dissertation and will be graduating in Summer 2022. My background is mainly in psychology, and my research interests revolve around individual traits and differences.
My dissertation employs both quantitative and qualitative analyses to explore the pathways into far-right violent extremism and the risk factors that could potentially lead to radicalization. I am specifically focusing on the U.S. political context and the January 6th Capitol insurrection.
After my graduation, I am interested in transitioning out of academia and into user experience research.
