Research and Practice Interests

My interests are in the field of toxicology, with a specific expertise in cardiovascular toxicology, hepatic toxicology, and in vitro toxicology. I am particularly interested in developing cell culture models of such tissues as the heart, liver, skin, kidney, and the eye. I have explored the mechanism(s) of toxicity of a number of drugs and chemicals which have adverse effects to the heart, liver, and other tissues of the body. I serve on a number of government panels in which toxicological and environmental issues are addressed.
