Professional Summary

Personal Statement
I've always loved sketching. I may not be able to draw from memory, but I can look at something and recreate it perfectly. I find the whole process extremely enjoyable and cathartic. Writing, too, has been a constant in my life; I edited my friends' essays from middle school to medical school and served as the yearbook editor. However, as I began to explore human physiology in school, especially the circulatory and respiratory systems, I found myself drawn to medicine in ways I hadn't anticipated. Still, for a long time, I resisted the idea of becoming a doctor. I worried that by choosing medicine, I was betraying my younger self and the creative passions I had grown up with. What I discovered over time was that medicine was not a compromise; it was a path where my attention to detail in art, my ability to wrack my brain in storytelling, and my love for things falling into place in the end all came together.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
Residency is hard no matter where you are, but I always knew I wanted to experience it in a place that comes closest to feeling like home. I happened to visit Cincinnati when I was doing my electives in the US; one look at UCMC on the most perfect fall afternoon, and I was in awe. When the time came to apply for residency, I easily put UCMC at the top of my list because of its unique approach to resident learning, emphasis on a growth mindset, and impressive focus on patient-centered care. The fun I had during the Meet and Greet session, the obvious warmth and friendship between residents, and the genuine interest Dr. Warm and the rest of my interviewers showed in both my journey so far, and my goals ahead, made this one of the easiest decisions of my life! I’m so grateful and excited to be here.
