Research and Practice Interests

Dr. Timmerman grew up in North Dakota where she completed her undergraduate and medical school training. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati Neurology residency program (where she was chief resident) before completing her behavioral neurology fellowship training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Current particular interests include Alzheimer disease and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (in addition to all other neurodegenerative diseases). She is the associate program director for the neurology residency program as well as the fellowship director for the behavioral neurology program starting July 2023.
