Professional Summary

Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember, I have been surrounded by those in the medical field. My aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents were all nurses, physicians, or pharmacists. I grew up full of curiosity about the human body, and my parents were happy to field my endless array of questions. As I entered medical school, I began to learn the answers I had always wondered about. I quickly realized how important it is to understand the body as a whole, as so many organ systems work together. My constant desire to learn and integrate all my knowledge is leading me to pursue internal medicine. I intend to advocate for my patients, so that they always feel like they are receiving excellent care. Lastly, I will remember, my patient is someone's mother or father, sister or brother, and they deserve that all of their questions answered, just like my parents answered all of mine as a child.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I chose the University of Cincinnati for a variety of reasons. First of all, I grew up in Cincinnati and have a lot of family in the area. I have lived in South Carolina for almost ten years and have missed so many things about Ohio, especially professional sports! I am excited to be back in Cincinnati to be able to take part in all of the activities the city has to offer. On my interview day for UC, I felt so welcomed by Dr. Warm and the current residents. I am excited to participate in unique aspects of the curriculum, such as long block. I am excited to start residency at UC!
