Professional Summary
Personal Statement
Every summer my family and I traveled to India to visit my grandparents. Once I was old enough, they started bringing me along to the Devnar School for the Blind, a tradition volunteering with busy lunch hours or recess in the courtyard. At first, I tagged behind, quietly observing their interactions with the students, but over the years, it became more a familiar setting, and I began helping where I could -Watching these kids effortlessly navigate the world led to a desire to understand their condition and communities like these. I hope to return to communities such as these and the ones I love in to serve my community as a future ophthalmologist.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
The interview day was what made me choose Cincinnati. I had a great time during the interview, everyone was so friendly and I could see the great culture that Cincinnati has chosen for its faculty and residents. The camaraderie along with commitment to the community really drew me to Cincinnato and am so excited to be in a place where I know I will grow as a physician.
