He had 5 years of project management experience in the construction and consulting fields, including a year internship at QAPCO. He currently takes yearly summer teaching experiences at Eastern Michigan University in Qinzhou, China. His research interests are in spatial ability, assessment and measurement, early Mechanical Engineering courses, accessibility, course climates, and course intervention research.

Research and Practice Interests
Ibrahim Awartani is currently a research assistant at GUIDE (Guided Understanding of Interventions for Developing Engineers) and MAE^3 (Measurement, Assessment, and Evaluation in Engineering Education) labs. His work is related to systematically reviewing the published works around Statics and Mechanical Engineering research, especially related to spatial ability, interventions, and concept inventories.
