Matthew Rowland Moreira Bahnson

Asst Professor

Professional Summary

My research focuses on professional identity and the influences of identity on persistence, retention, and degree completion in higher education and into professional work. With a focus on STEM fields, professional identity provides a tool to investigate student and graduate experiences that shape their relationship to educational experiences and future careers. My research uses multiple methods including qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, and longitudinal data collection.
