Professional Summary
I am an SLP with 20+ years of work experience in a variety of clinical as well as academic settings. My clinical expertise areas include; speech sound disorders, cleft lip and palate/resonance disorders and craniofacial anomalies, adult dysphagia/swallowing disorders, adult acquired cognitive-communicative disorders, voice disorders and child language disorders.
I am a passionate and dedicated educator. In my teaching, I strive to transfer clinical and theory-driven research when teaching students to develop their ability to think critically and make evidence-based decisions. I hope these learning experiences encourage and inspire my students to become open-minded and life-long learners in their roles of clinicians, researchers and teachers. My appraoch is to create engaging, interactive and challenging learning experience to motivate students to become excellent clinicians and scholars.
I have gained unique academic and clinical experiences working with diverse settings and underdeveloped countries, bringing exceptional clinical and academic diversity into teaching, research and clinical settings. I am dedicated to continue to conduct research and research-supervision in a variety of areas, populations, settings.
