For the University of Cincinnati, Department of Chemistry, I was an undergraduate research assistant. I was part of a research group which studied gene therapy and ultrasound. My personal research project focused on the stabilizing of polyplexes (polymer-DNA complexes), for the transportation of the polyplex through the bloodstream to a specific cell.  During my time in this research group I participated in a competitive research summer program. I personally presented my research at the end of the summer research program and at a regional American Chemical Society undergraduate poster presentation.  My research was also presented by the graduate student who oversaw my research, at numerous conferences within Ohio.
