Professional Summary

Brandon's research has primarily focused on community-police relations, restorative justice, public perceptions of safety, and fear of crime. During his time at Seattle University he served as a research analyst with the Seattle Police Department's Micro-Community Policing Plans where he distributed and analyzed the 2022 Seattle Public Safety Survey and co-facilitated weekly restorative justice-based community-police dialogues. He will be assisting with the expansion of the Micro-Community Policing Plans to the Denver Police Department in 2023. During his time at Seattle University, he also served as Managing Editor for the Journal of Criminology, Criminal Justice, Law & Society. Brandon's research will continue to focus on public safety and is intending to expand into criminological theory during his time in the doctoral program.
