Professional Summary
Personal Statement
My journey in medical training from early in the pandemic has been one of personal growth, self-reflection, and resilience that has shaped my identity as a physician. My original desire to serve as an educator and guide to patients has been refined in this process and serves as a central motivator for a career in internal medicine. Whether from admission to discharge or through longitudinal care, internists have the opportunity to form impactful partnerships with patients to provide comprehensive care. As a father and future physician, I am eager to pursue a career in internal medicine to provide patient-centered, equitable care to empower my patients and earn the privilege of being part of their story.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
When considering programs, I knew I wanted to find a place where I would receive a robust clinical education rooted in a culture of continuous development. The commitment to growth provides the opportunity to challenge myself clinically while feeling supported by faculty and my peers. I experienced this firsthand as a student at UCCOM and quickly realized that I had found a community where I could thrive here at UC. As an aspiring educator, I was also drawn to the opportunity to learn from leaders in the medical education space and continue to refine my skills as a mentor and educator in an innovative environment. The welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere at UC is combined with a dedication to providing patient-centered care, while fostering a culture of growth that aligns well with my personal and professional goals. As a Cincinnati native with deep roots in the area and a young family of my own, I am excited to be able to train in and serve this amazing community.
