Patrick J Brown

In my current position as Commercialization Navigator in the Technology Transfer and IP office at the University of Cincinnati's 1819 Innovation Hub, I collaborate with UC's licensing associates, faculty, staff, and students to identify, develop, and design new Commercialization pathways for UC intellectual property.

Throughout my career, I have focused on leading, driving, and supporting technology transfer efforts. I also have experience as an entreprenuer, co-founding two companies, one of which was based on technology licensed from the University of Cincinnati. 

In 2012, I was a member of the team of IMS Center researchers and faculty that participated in the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps program. Through this program, I was able to learn many of the key steps involved in forming a business. After completing this program, the team involved created Predictronics, a start-up company specializing in delivering commercial solutions based on mature technologies developed at the IMS Center.
