Joseph Burnett, CPA, joined the Accounting Department in September 2013 as an Assistant Professor. Previously he was in the Hospitality Management Department. He has earned a BBA and MBA from the University of Cincinnati and an honorary MA from Brown University. He has been practicing as a CPA since 1975 with over 100 small business clients. Recently he served as the production accountant for a 2013 movie,"Easy Rider, the Way Back". Teaching interests are financial accounting, managerial accounting, Income tax and hospitality management, and his research interest is in taxation.
