Professional Summary

Caleb is a PhD student in Classical Philology at the University of Cincinnati. Prior to his time at the University of Cincinnati, he completed his BA in Classical Languages & Theater at Connecticut College in 2026, and received a certificate in International Studies from the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and Liberal Arts. While at Connecticut College, Caleb completed an Honors Thesis on the construction of Roman cultural identity in Virgil's Aeneid through the poem's depictions of cross-cultural interactions and relationships. Caleb's research interests include the formation of cultural identity in Augustan poetry, and the performance of death in Greek tragedy.
