Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Physician-Scientist whose research interests include mechanisms of tumor resistance, antigen discovery and immunotherapy. I am from Pennsylvania originally and came to Ohio by way of Colorado where I carried out my medical and graduate school education within the University of Colorado MSTP. I am thrilled to be joining the University of Cincinnati IM-PSTP to pursue ongoing medical and research training within the Departments of Medicine and Hematology/Oncology.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
During my interview, I was very impressed by the leadership of both the IM program and the PSTP. I found their active engagement within medical education unique and realized I wanted to train in a healthcare system that is consistently asking how can we do better and taking the initiative to do so. After interviewing, I had the opportunity to visit and interact with the leadership and chiefs and was truly impressed by how welcoming they were and how they went above and beyond to accommodate me. During my visit, it was also quickly apparent that Cincinnati offers top-notch medical training and facilities in a vibrant city. Lastly, as a physician-scientist interested in ongoing research training, Cincinnati offers no shortage of mentors in this regard – from basic to translation to clinical – at both UC Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
