Professional Summary
Personal Statement
Originally from a small town outside of Cincinnati, my educational journey took me down to Florida for my undergraduate degree and then up to Kentucky for medical school. My unorthodox road to healthcare started when I was an automotive mechanic, with my path shifting as family health experiences drew my attention to medicine. During my journey, I found that I have a special place in my heart for patients fighting cancer, and I am impassioned to pursue a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology. My mentor in oncology instilled in me that physician interactions should extend beyond the chart, and I hope to blossom partnerships in patients’ journeys towards health and well-being.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
Cincinnati is my hometown, and I am overjoyed for the opportunity to provide care to my community. The UC health team is also outstanding, with a clear emphasis on patient-centered care. I knew when I first met the program director, Dr. Warm, and several of the kind staff and residents, that this program was where I belonged. I can’t think of a better place to continue training and grow as a physician.
