Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Three of my grandparents were first generation Americans who went from field workers as children to middle class citizens as adults. Much of that was due to their own self grit, determination, and hard work. They taught me that our mentality towards the opportunities that we are given determines our success much more than our circumstances. These values were instilled in me from a very early age. But to my grandparents, the most important things in their lives were their ties to their community and the relationships that they created with the members of their community. Those relationships with people who my family considered their mentors, friends, and even those they have helped, however brief their time was together, were just as important to the formation of their identity as their own accomplishments were. Those values and the importance of those relationships is why I chose Internal Medicine.

 Why I Chose Cincinnati
Interview season was a bit of a blur, but every interaction I had with the people from the University of Cincinnati from the resident zoom meeting prior to interview day to the interview day and afterwards was amazing, memorable, and felt genuine. Interview day was a blast and I felt excited about the program long after my interview.
