Elaine M. Cox is the Senior Director of Development at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and an adjunct instructor in CCM’s Arts Administration program, where she teaches multiple courses in arts fundraising. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with more than a decade of experience in fundriasing and patron development.
Before her appointment at CCM, Cox served as Associate Director of Development and Dramaturg for Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. Her career in arts administration spans roles at theatres and performing arts centers nationwide. As a dramaturg, Cox has worked with Equity theatres in Indiana, New York, Fort Worth, and the Berkshires.
Cox earned her Master of Arts in Arts Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Cincinnati’s dual masters program through CCM and the Lindner College of Business. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and History from Huntington University in Indiana. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband and two young children.
