Professional Summary
Personal Statement
My path to medicine has been somewhat nontraditional. Before medical school I worked as a registered nurse in Chicago, first on an inpatient floor and later in a hybrid clinical/research role. During that time, I became increasingly immersed in academic medicine, which solidified my decision to pursue medical school. Changing careers was humbling and exciting; looking back, it taught me to fully embrace the discomfort that comes with being a beginner. I’m grateful to serve patients as a physician, and my nursing experience often informs my perspective and relationships in practice. My professional interests include medical education and building multidisciplinary programs.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
UC stood out to me for its innovation in medical education and its emphasis on clinical continuity through Long Block. I felt inspired on my interview day for many reasons, especially seeing how faculty and residents embody a growth mindset in sincere and grounded ways. I left with a clear sense that training here would help me develop as both a physician and a person and I’m excited to contribute to that culture.
