Why I Chose Cincinnati
I chose the University of Cincinnati as my top residency program because its core values deeply resonate with the kind of physician I aspire to be. The program’s commitment to intentional education and compassionate care, paired with a strong emphasis on using data to drive meaningful improvements in patient outcomes, reflects a thoughtful and forward-thinking approach to medicine. From my interactions with faculty and residents, it was clear that this is more than just a training program—it’s a supportive family that prioritizes personal and professional growth. I was especially drawn to the culture of encouragement and the emphasis on a growth mindset, where challenges are met with curiosity and support rather than shame. This environment fosters not only better doctors but better people, and I knew this was the kind of place where I could thrive.
