Education

Bachelor's Degree: U. California @ Santa Cruz Santa Cruz, CA, 1975 (Biology & Chemistry)

Doctoral Degree: Yale University New Haven, CT, 1983 (Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry)

Postdoctoral Fellow: Yale University New Haven, Ct , 1985

Research and Practice Interests

My primary objectives are to understand: the biogenesis, structure, and regulation of expression of chromaffin granule membrane proteins, including synaptotagmin; the biogenic amine transporter; the vacuolar ATPase; the physiology and molecular genetics of histoplasma capsulatum. In addition, I am involved in the development of science curricula in the Cincinnati public schools, currently using the vacuolar ATPase of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system for teaching modern molecular genetic concepts.

Positions and Work Experience

1985 - Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of Cincinnati, MSB
