Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Communication is not limited to the spoken word but rather practiced daily through presence and consistency. This lesson resonated with me because I had once felt that same compassion as a patient myself, during my own prolonged hospitalization after a ruptured appendix in high school. I recall the comfort I felt when the physicians would take the time to explain exactly what was happening, and the reassurance in seeing the same faces every day. This perspective, deepened by my experiences as a student, continues to shape how I approach patient care today.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
During my time as a student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, I saw firsthand how the UC Internal Medicine program supports its residents and fosters a growth mindset. Additionally, the faculty and residents I worked with over the years were not only extremely confident and knowledgeable as physicians, but also excellent teachers. They played a critical role in my transformation from student to doctor. I knew that if I followed in their footsteps, I would become the physician I have always aspired to be, which is why I chose to continue my training with the same people who shaped me here at UC.
