Professional Summary

Personal Statement
My experiences throughout medical school have crystallized the importance of aligning perspectives with patients to support their decision-making in difficult situations. Oftentimes, the complex web of multiorgan involvement in patient presentations can obscure the path forward. I value the role of Internal Medicine physicians in integrating clinical data to determine a course of action and have learned how crucial communication is in understanding what is most important to patients, beyond what lab values and imaging convey. My core motivations are framed through my own experience with chronic disease and I strive to help patients find their optimal quality of life.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I didn’t know what to expect when I first came to Cincinnati, having lived in California my entire life prior to medical school. However, I quickly grew to love the perfect blend of vibrant city life and comforting, tight-knit communities of Cincinnati along with the beautiful rolling hills on both sides of the river! There’s something for everyone here, whether it be sports, a vibrant and growing food culture, or miles and miles of outdoor paths and greenery.

The culture of the IM department here felt like home from my first rotation in 3rd year all the way through my 4th year. The residents and faculty are so supportive of each other, and they all foster the most amazing learning environment. The emphasis that the program puts on education is second to none, and patient care always comes first.
