Research and Practice Interests

My current research focuses on the invasive ground cover and liana Euonymus fortunei, comparing genetics taken from escaped populations and comparing them to those of known horticultural clonal varieties, as well as the effects that its spread has on forest floor arthropod community.

Previous research has focused on air pollution and its effects on the light responses in plants, botanical ecophysiology, ecosystems level ecology, population genetics, experimental design, sustainable landscape design, environmental sociology, and environmental ethics.
