Professional Summary
Dr. Elgafy is a Distinguished Teaching Professor, and Professor-Educator at The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, at The College of Engineering and Applied Science at The University of Cincinnati. He has taught over 120 courses that incorporate more than 25 different curricula. Dr. Elgafy has served in more than 18 committees at different capacities at the department, college, and university levels. Dr. Elgafy's teaching performance and service contribution has led to 15 honors & awards.
Research and Practice Interests
Are focused on the areas of nanotechnology and thermal fluid Sciences to develop nanocomposites and advanced materials for thermal management and energy conversion/storage systems for terrestrial and space applications. Additionally, educational researches that aim to establish and assess engineering curricula are conducted.
