Professional Summary

Professor Enstice served as Director of the School of Art from 1995-2000. He is currently Professor of Art, teaching courses in drawing, sophomore through graduate levels, and Senior Thesis Colloquy. Some selected exhibitions include: Getler/Pall/Saper (57th Street, New York City); The Drawing Center (New York City); The Alternative Museum (New York City); SPACE Gallery (Los Angeles); Center for Contemporary Art (Santa Fe). Selected grants include: one-year artist-in-residency, Roswell Museum and Art Center (New Mexico); Summerfair (Cincinnati). A selected bibliography includes: Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, Art in America, Artspace, Art Papers, Who's Who in American Art, and selected published works: Drawing: Space, Form and Expression (co-authored), Prentice-Hall, Inc., (two editions); Jazz Spoken Here (co-authored), Louisiana State University Press (Hardcover), DaCapo Press (Softcover). A recent manuscript completed is: Whisper Not: Conversational Portraits of Twenty-Two Women in Jazz (co-authored).
