Professional Summary

Dr. Feinberg is nationally recognized for her clinical research in HIV infection and its opportunistic complications, and for her expertise in designing and conducting multicenter treatment trials. Dr. Feinberg is the Co-Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded AIDS Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Cincinnati. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Feinberg's published works include approximately 98 original publications, 125 abstracts, and 10 book chapters.  She is ... Associate Editor of AIDS Clinical Care, published by Masssachusetts Medical Society.  She has also served as Associate Editor of the American Academy of HIV Medicine Self-Directed Study Guide (over 700 pages, 2003; revised, 2007 & 2012). She serves as reviewer for 18 prestigious journals. Dr. Feinberg has been elected to membership in the American College of Physicians (Fellow), Infectious Diseases Society of America (Fellow), American Society for Microbiology, American Association for the Advancement of Science, International AIDS Society, International Society for Antiviral Research, Society for Clinical Trials, HIV Medical Association, and the American Academy of HIV Medicine (for which she serves as President of the Great Lakes Chapter and as Past Chair of the Board of Directors).  She has served on numerous federal panels and taskforces, includign the FDA's Antiviral Drugs Advisory Panel, and the panels for the Guidelines on preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV and for preventing and treating HIV-associated opportunistic infections.
