Now retired from CCM, Professor Emeritus Marjorie Fox worked with the news division of WMAQ-TV, an NBC network-owned station in Chicago, as a writer, field producer, newscast producer, assignment editor and executive producer, where she was instrumental in coverage of many major stories, including the tumultuous Chicago political scene, the crash of a DC-10 at O'Hare Airport and the Tylenol murders. She was also active in producing regular coverage of health news and fine arts events. Previously she worked as a reporter and anchor for WEEK-TV in Peoria, Illinois. She was the writer-producer of The Pioneer Shakedown, a video promoting reform of Hamilton County government (1992) and The Lay-Off List, a documentary about former GE engineers (1994). She has worked as producer of noon newscast for WKRC-TV Channel 12 in Cincinnati and as a faculty intern for CNN in Atlanta. She is a member of the Broadcast Education Association and Radio-Television News Directors Association. She is a contributor for Television in America, The Encyclopedia of TV News, as well as a writer for two Cincinnati-based websites. She is a writer for video exhibits in the Gallery of Everyday Heroes at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
