Professional Summary

After career beginnings in literature of the 19th century (Theodor Storm), Galt's professional focus has shifted to Landeskunde and German for Business. A founder and continuing leader of the Business German movement in American German Studies, his main interests in recent years have been the computer as a tool for literary and linguistic research, and the art and science of technical translating. Research and teaching interests span the same wide range.
