Mary E. Gorman

Professional Summary

Professor Gorman"s undergraduate degree is from the University of Oregon in Eugene and her MBA is from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Professor Gorman received the Faculty Member of the Year Award from the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity in March 2014 for her outstanding teaching and service. She has been named to the Dean"s List of Teaching Excellence each quarter/semester since its inception. She was named an Honorary Faculty Brother of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and has been the recipient of the EXCEL award which is awarded for exceptional dedication and outstanding contribution to undergraduate teaching. She has also been awarded the Grilliot Award which honors a faculty member who has performed extraordinary service to students and student organizations. In 2006, she received the Kuamka Faculty Award by the African American Cultural & Research Center for her hard work and dedication in the classroom and was honored as a panelist for Best Practices in Teaching sponsored by the First Year Experience committee. For the past consecutive 7 years, Professor Gorman has been a Darwin T. Turner Scholar honoree recognized annually at the Breakfast of Champions.
