Professional Summary

Currently, my research focus on roles of microglial subgroups during the perinatal brain development and the mechanisms of actions for therapeutic effects of anti-inflammatory drug in the periventricular white matter damage using several animal models of neonatal hydrocephalus. In our most recent two publications we found that potential cellular mechanisms to control functions of temporal microglia subgroup during development “CD11c+” or “primed” microglia in neonatal hydrocephalus. We are investigating the subtypes of microglia that appers in neonatal hydrocephalus with white matter injury.

We also study the effects of choroid plexus removal for the treatment of neonatal hydrocephalus using rodents.
