Professional Summary

Personal Statement
During my dermatology rotations, I met patients whose stories embody why I am pursuing this field: the young woman with alopecia areata who finally felt confident styling her hair after successful treatment with a JAK inhibitor, the infant with a large facial hemangioma whose concerned parents were relieved after his skin showed marked improvement on a beta blocker, and the little girl with lichen sclerosus who was thrilled to be able to swim with her friends again after finding a topical treatment regimen that worked for her. It was incredibly rewarding to be part of the team whose treatments shaped patients' physical health, quality of life, and how they see themselves, reinforcing my resolve to become a dermatologist.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
Having rotated with the Internal Medicine Department as a medical student, I was so impressed by the emphasis placed on learning theory the collegial environment. I enjoyed working with the residents and faculty as a medical student and knew that this would be a great fit for my preliminary year before my dermatology training!
