Professional Summary

Nicolas Haddad was an Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Balamand in Lebanon from 1999 till 2024. Before this period, he taught as an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering at the Université Saint Joseph in Beirut (1995 - 1999). His carreer as an educator started between 1990 and 1994 at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, NM. There, he received the New mexico Tech outstanding teaching award in 1994. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Haddad taught a wide variety of courses in Electrical/Computer Engineering as well as Computer Science. He directed a large number of projects both at the industrial and academic levels. Plus, he published several journal articles in the area of communications and signal processing. In 2017, he published his textbook entitled: "Microcontroller System Design Using PIC18F Processors". The book, published by IGI Global, is also available on amazon.com.

Dr. Haddad graduated with a PhD degree at Ohio University in 1990 and is thrilled to have joined the University of Cincinnati in August 2024.
