Mr. Harnett joined the faculty at the University of Cincinnati in 2004. He is currently an Assistant Professor Field Service in Biomedical Informatics and serves as the Director for the UC Center for Health Informatics as well as an IRB member. Prior to joining UC, Brett was the Director of Experimental Information Technology for a NASA-sponsored research program in Virginia and a Systems Analyst for the Yale University School of Medicine in Connecticut.
Brett received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from UC. He has over a dozen peer-reviewed scientific articles, four book chapters and recently won an award to travel to the European Medical Informatics conference in Pisa Italy. Extramural activities include being a member of the Editorial Board for the Telemedicine and e-Health journal and a scientific reviewer for the National Institutes of Health.
