Research and Practice Interests

I am interested in the visual ecology of invertebrates, specifically in the ways that they experience color. Additionally, I am interested in the ways visual signals can exploit sensory systems. What consititues color vision in animals? What is the value of illusory signalling? How do illusions exploit the limitations of a cognitive system?
