Professional Summary

Personal Statement
Chef Kenji Lopez Alt once pointed out that people cook for a combination of two reasons: humanity and curiosity. I am no exception and I believe the same reasons apply to internal medicine. A cherished memory from my culinary career was at a community kitchen, listening to a woman giddy about seeing her son last weekend while eating a bowl of chicken and rice I cooked. Internal medicine is simply an extension of that humanity, curiosity, and attention to detail. It offers unparalleled opportunities to understand not only science but the human condition. If I pursue fellowship, I want that foundation of being a well-rounded doctor. I know my experiences would push me to be a kind and systematic physician who understands the meaning of a story, appreciates a good puzzle, and above all, hungers for food, knowledge, and connection.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I’m an Ohioan through and through! I grew up in Columbus and attended both undergrad and medical school in the state. Friends I’ve met through my journey have landed at UCMC so I know I’ll find my family here. Plus, I like the option of setting up corn hole in the lounge without being judged.
