Professional Summary
I use multidisciplinary immunology and chemical biology approaches to
study natural products for T cell activation in diseases and immune dysregulation in environmental exposure. Current research focuses on determining (i) the structures and functions of mycobacterial metabolites to activate mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells in human tuberculosis, and (ii) the impact of air pollutants on T cell immunity and lipid metabolism to exacerbate infections and inflammations.
Education
Bachelor of Medicine: Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Beijing, China, 1993 (Basic Sciences of Traditional Medicine, Immunopharmacology of Natural Products)
