Professional Summary
Sashini Kannan is a second year Ph.D. student in Philology. She received her B.A. in Classical Culture and Society and Psychology from Bryn Mawr College in 2019, a Post-bacc Certificate in Ancient Languages from Penn State in 2020, and an M.A. in Philology from UC in 2022. She taught middle school Latin in California prior to beginning the Ph.D.
Her research interests include the development of identity and cognition in Archaic Greek poetry and in Augustan era literature. She also works on classical reception in the Slavic world.
