Personal Statement
No one expects to pass on a random Tuesday in their mid-50s. Within my local South Indian community, multiple fathers experienced unexpected myocardial infarctions causing devastating consequences for their families and friends. For most, it was the necessary wake-up call to have their own hearts evaluated for coronary artery disease. Many were able to identify and ameliorate potential issues before they faced a similar fate. Internal medicine physicians are at the cornerstone of this charge, as their ability to identify problems before they occur is unparalleled. I strive to join this esteemed group by using the critical thinking, teamwork, and compassionate skills developed throughout my career in medicine. I hope to grow into a physician who not only treats conditions as they arise but also proactively predicts and prevents conditions from the beginning.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
I chose UC because of the flexible schedule during the second year of residency that allows for exploration of sub l-specialties through electives. The city itself offers a variety of activities during time off and is home to the Bengals and Reds (two of my favorite professional sports teams). Who Dey!
