Professional Summary

Personal Statement
In January 2020, I started my last semester of college. Two months into a public health course, the material I was learning became distinctly real when the COVID-19 pandemic began. When I started medical school a few months later, I knew I had to focus on my studies, but I had a deep desire to also serve the community during an unprecedented time. Therefore, I began several volunteering and leadership positions related to public health. Through these experiences, I realized the true importance of health equity within the field of medicine.

Why I Chose Cincinnati
I was born at UC and lived in Cincinnati until I left for college. When interviewing for residency, I was looking for an academic medical center due to my interest in fellowship as well as a program with a good culture and an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. UC had all these things! During my interview, the residents genuinely seemed happy and had great camaraderie. I could truly see myself fitting in at this program, and being near my support system during residency would be a plus as well. After moving around the state for school, I am so happy to be coming back to my hometown for residency!
