Professional Summary
Associate Professor Kawanari was appointed as an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati in 1985. He was promoted to an associate professor with tenure in 1990. His teaching responsibilities have primarily focused on third, fourth and fifth year industrial design and design communication classes in the industrial design program. He has managed his own industrial design firm serving local, national and international clients from 1981 to present. His work has been recognized in national exhibits, including the Society of Art Center Alumni (SACA). His work has appeared in the international publications, Japan Design News and Car Styling.
