Dr. Kennerly has extensive experience in nursing education instruction and administration, program assessment and development, and grant management. She is an expert on nursing leadership and management and has extensive administrative experience as an Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, a baccalaureate program director, and a director of healthcare practice operations. She is published in the areas of curriculum implementation, leadership behaviors, shared governance, and nursing delegation and supervision. Her program of research deals with leadership behaviors, nursing culture, and role implementation of healthcare workers. Dr. Kennerly has served as a consultant in team facilitation and the design, implementation, and evaluation of shared governance in acute care and mental health nursing practice settings.
