Professional Summary

        HaEun Kim is a Korean pianist currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), studying with Dror Biran. She previously earned her Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University under Hee Sung Joo and completed both a Master of Music and a Performer Diploma at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music under Norman Krieger, where she studied on a full scholarship and served as an Associate Instructor in the Secondary Piano Department.
        As a performer, Kim has appeared in major venues throughout Korea, including Usquare Kumho Art Hall, Win Art Hall, and the Seoul National University Concert Hall. A two-time winner of the Kumho Junior Concert Audition, she has given solo recitals and appeared as a concerto soloist with the Gwangju Arts High School Orchestra. She has also participated in international festivals such as the Amalfi Coast Music & Arts Festival and the Seoul National University International Piano Academy, working with renowned artists including Jan Jiracek von Arnim, John O’Conor, and Boris Berman.
        At CCM, Kim teaches group and private piano as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and is pursuing a Piano Pedagogy Certificate, with a teaching focus on musical independence, expressive playing, and healthy technique.
