Professional Summary

Born in Cincinnati but raised in Detroit, Michigan, Professor-Educator Roger Klug began teaching at CCM in 2010 after 25+ years performing, composing, and producing in the commercial music industry. Klug has since helped create and administer popular FAM (Fine Arts Music) courses within the General Studies division, including Music of the Beatles, which he has taught online and in-person at UC’s Zimmer Auditorium for over 10 years.
 
Klug’s ongoing performing career continues to reflect his wide and varied musical interests: 
 
Arranger/guitarist/vocalist/curator for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra’s Summermusik programs, scored for Small Orchestra and Rock Band: Fab Five (2015), Chamber Rock (2016), Summer of Love (2017),Woodwindstock (2019), Fab Five and Friends (2021), Return of Chamber Rock (2023).
 
Guitarist for the Cincinnati Pops: featured soloist with Cynthia Erivo (2022), Aubrey Logan (2022), Red White And Boom! (2023), The Princess Bride (2023); other Music Hall, Riverbend, and regional performances (2021-present).
 
Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra: CSO Proof: Surrealist El Tropical (2023) and Mahler Symphony No. 7 (2023), classical guitar; Classical Roots (Prince’s “Purple Rain”) (2016), electric guitar.
 
Live appearances in various combos and venues throughout the Cincinnati/Dayton area on guitar/vocal; original songs/productions available on major streaming services as Roger Klug, Rant To Save Yourself, MISSYFIT (with CCM alum Mia Gentile); other session credits too numerous to count.
