DR. RICHARD KOMOROSKI is Research Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering and Associate Director in the Center for Imaging Research at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Specific projects include: detection and quantitation of psychoactive drugs by 19F and 7Li MRS in vivo in brain in psychiatric disorders in humans and animal models; in vivo detection of endogenous brain metabolites by localized 1H MRS in a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders including schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder; high-resolution 31P NMR of phospholipids and high-resolution 1H NMR of metabolites in postmortem brain for psychiatric illnesses; applications of in vivo and in vitro MRS to breast and prostate cancer.

- detection and quantitation of psychoactive drugs by 19F and 7Li MRS in vivo in brain in schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression in humans and animal models

- in vivo detection of endogenous brain metabolites by localized 1H MRS in a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders including schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder

- high-resolution 31P NMR of phospholipids and high-resolution 1H NMR of metabolites in postmortem brain for psychiatric illnesses.
