Personal Statement
I love being responsible for our patients' care and contributing to discussions on rounds. I love understanding how diseases affect our patients. I love investigating my patients' medical history and how their comorbidities connect. I love learning about other disciplines like immunology, endocrinology, and nephrology, as they relate to heart failure. I was worried for one of our patients whose health was steadily worsening while he waited for a donor heart. I will never forget the joy of seeing him walk around after getting his transplant. I feel blessed that my work brings me this much satisfaction and that I will have the privilege to pursue such a rewarding career.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
As a UC medical student, I saw firsthand the strong sense of camaraderie among residents and the program’s dedication to outstanding teaching and mentorship. I believe the program prepares residents to be strong clinicians while also encouraging interest in research, medical education, and fellowship training. Plus. I grew up in Cincinnati, so getting to train in a city I love and be close to my family makes UC the perfect fit for me.
